During the last decade the firm has been appearing amongst Israel's top labour law firms in the various surveys that are producted by Dun & Bradstreet, BDI and others. The firm was also noted as the only labour law specialist in the 2011 general survey of top quality, small law offices.

The firm is managed by Adv. Haim Berenzon and Adv. Assaf Berenzon.

The firm's policy is to keep a small, personal office and to concentrate on one defind area - labour law. (and ancillary spheres, like administrative, public, commercial and fiscal law)

The firm's Clients

The firm's clientele is centred around employers, including those that have their own in-house legal advisers and departments. The majority of the firm's clients avail themselves of the firm's specialist labour law services either on a regular retainer or ad-hoc basis. The firm's clients include government and private companies, other public employers such as universities, colleges, municipalities, sick funds and more, employees' organisations and representatives, trade unions, senior employees etc.

The Advocates


Adv. Haim Berenzon

Haim Berenson is the son of the late Supreme Court Judge, Zvi Berenzon. He holds undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in law (LL.B and LL.M) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem Law School.

For some 17 years he worked for the State Attorney in Jerusalem. He served as the Ministry of Justice's Lbour Dispute Departments Manager and Fiscal Department Manager, Having the standing the standing of a District Court Judge. In 1982 he retired from state service and moved to Tel Aviv. He became a partner in the firm of Adv. Gideon Hollon in Tel Aviv, specialising in labour law. in 1989, with the firm's expansion, the partners moved to Cliff Tower on the seafront in Heralia Pituach. In 1997 he moved to a new office on the second floor of his home in Herzlia Pituach.

For 20 years Haim Berenson wrote a weekly column on a labour law in the financial supplement of the Haaretz daily newspaper. The weekly column then appeared for several years in the business supplement of the daily newspaper Maariv. Mr/ Berenzon also writes articles and reviews of case law in professional journals, including the Labour Law Annual, Yeda Le'Meda, Netto+ and Vaadim, as well as on the major legal websites, Psak Din and Nevo.

Adv. Berenson's publications also include -
An article entitled "the Judicial Paternalism of the Labour Court" in a book published in 2007 in honour of the late President of the National Labour Court, Menachem Goldberg.
An article entitled "The Employer's Duty to Hold a Hearing and the Employee's Right to Hearing" in a 2012 book in honour of the Retired Vice President of the National Labour Court, Judge Elisheva Barak-Usiskin.

The Berenson Book - Three Volumes

Between 1997 and 2007 Adv. Berenson, together with the then President of the Supreme Court, Judge Aharon Barak, edited three volumes of the book known as the Berenson Book, published by Nevo:

1997 - Dan Yachid - an autobiography with selected case law;
2000 - Bnei Svara - 20 legal articles in honour of Judge Berenson;
2007 - Golel - items and articles in his memory.










































Adv. Assaf Berenson

Adv. Assaf Berenson is Haim Berenson's son and grandson of the late Judge Zvi Berenson. He has worked in the firm since 1992 and holds two undergraduate degrees, one in economics from the University of Tel Aviv and another in law from the College of Administration. Adv. Assaf Berenson is an officer in the IDF reserves and servs as a labour law adviser in the office of the Military Advocate General. He is also one of the experts of Yeda Le'Meda and Netto+.

Adv. Assaf Berenson practices in personal and collective labour law advice, deafting and litigation and has experiance in several very specific areas:

* Pension matters;
* Unionisation of employees;
* Disputes between trade unions as to the definition of a bargaining and representative unit;
* Collective negotiations and the drafting of collective agreements;
* Advising on, and acting on, collective labour disputes and strikes;
* Labour law class actions;
* Privatisation;
* Representation of public bodies and public employees against the Ministry of Finance's    
  Director of Wages, who implements the Budget Fundamentals Law;
* Advising on, and acting in, labour relations crises;
* Labour Law due diligence examinations on a change of employers.














Adv. Michal Ziloni-Hadad

Adv. Ziloni-Hadad holds an undergraduate degree in law (LL.B) from the College of Administration and has been qualified since 1998.
She served as an intern with Haim Berenson & Co., worked as an associate
on qualification and became a partner in Berenson Office in 2009.

She essentially pracrices in labour and administrative law, providing advice and giving legal opinions, dealing with personal and collective litigation in the labour courts and Supreme Court, as well as in arbitration, including in the Agreed Arbitration Institution of the Public Service.








Adv. Betty Amir

Adv. Amir gained an LL.B undergradute degree in law (cum laude) from the Netanya Academic College in 2004, followed by a postgraduste law degree (LL.M), majoring in business law, from the Herzlia Interdisciplinary Centre in 2008. She has been qualified as an advocate since 2002.

She joined Haim Berenson & Co. as an intern in 2002 and has continued with the firm as an associate since qualifying in 2004.

She essentially preactices in labour and administrative law, providing advice and giving legal opinions, and dealing with personal and collective litigation in the labour Courts and Supreme Court.



Adv. Michal Freedman

Adv. Freedman holds an undergraduate degree in law (LL.B) from the University of Haifa and qualified as an advocate in 2010. She joined Haim Berenson & Co. as an intern in 2008 and has continiued with the firm as an associate since qualifying in 2010.

She essentially practices in labour and administrarive law, providing advice and giving legal opinions, and dealing with personal and collective litigation in the Labour Courts and Supreme Court.







Adv. Naomi Laufer-Ben Ari

Adv. Laufer-Ben Ari holds an undergraduate degree in law (LL.B) and in Policy and Strategy (B.A) from The Interdisciplinary Center (IDC) Herzliya, and qualified as an advocate in 2013.

She joined Haim Berenson & Co. as an intern in 2012 and has continued with the firm as an associate since qualifying in 2013.   

She essentially practices in labour administrative law, providing advice and giving legal opinions, and dealing with personal and collective litigation in the Labour Courts and Supreme Court.









Michal Shemer, Intern

Michal Shemer holds an undergraduate degree in law (LL.B) and in Social Work (B.S.W), and a Master degree (M.A) in Public Management.

Michal has experiance in Human Resources Management since 1997 in a leading companies, such as "Toyota", "Migdal" and "Amdocs".

In parallel, she is a lecturer for management, Human Resourcres and Labor Law.
Since 2010 Michal is a 
Public Appointee On The Labor Court Bench.
